I hope this message finds you well and filled with joy. As I sit down to write to you today, I find myself reflecting on the vibrant community that God is building, a community rooted in faith, love, and purpose. I cherish each moment we gather, whether in worship, study, or fellowship, and I am so grateful for the unique stories each of you brings to our congregation.
As we navigate the complexities of our times, it's clear that our world is craving hope and healing. Together, we are called not just to live out our faith, but to share the transformative power of the gospel in our neighbourhoods and beyond. This brings me to a topic that is close to my heart: the importance of reviving the gospel's power for today.
History has taught us that every time the world has experienced a great spiritual awakening, it was when the gospel was presented in a manner that was relevant, inviting, and deeply centred on Christ. As we consider our own mission, let us reflect on how we can make the life-changing message of Jesus accessible to those around us.
I encourage you to think of new ways we can make the gospel more relatable. How can we communicate God’s love in our conversations? How can our gatherings and outreach reflect a compassionate understanding of the struggles our neighbours face? Let’s commit to nurturing a spirit of revival, praying for the Holy Spirit to lead us to those who are seeking.
Let’s come together as a family in Jesus to seek the Spirit’s guidance. Ask yourself: How can I share the love of Christ with my friends, family, or co-workers? Are there ways we can adapt our agendas/schedules to reach those who may feel distant from God? How can we serve our community to meet their needs and invite them to experience God's grace?
Revival doesn’t just happen; it’s a movement of God’s Spirit among His people. Just like seeds in a garden, planted with care and nourished with love, our gospel message can take root and flourish when we cultivate a heart for revival.
As we pray for this fresh outpouring of the Spirit, let’s envision our church becoming a flourishing haven of hope, where lives are changed, and communities transformed.
Thank you for being a part of this beautiful journey. Together, let’s be vessels of God’s love, sharing the good news in fresh and impactful ways.
In Christ's Love, David Peñate
