This week, our hearts are still glowing from the Community Christmas Market we hosted last Sunday. The Market filled our church grounds with something truly special. Whether you were involved in planning, praying, supporting, or simply sharing in the excitement of what God was doing, this celebration belongs to all of us.
What unfolded on Sunday wasn’t just an event; it became a beautiful expression of who we are as a church family when Christ’s love leads the way. Even with the rough weather at the start—God cleared the skies and filled our space. Despite the weather, our grounds were full of warmth and joy from the very start. We were blessed with so many visitors from our neighbouring community and met countless friendly faces throughout the day.
From the bottom of our hearts, we want to say thank you to everyone involved.
Thank you to those who served on the day in any capacity—setting up chairs, setting up gazebos, directing traffic, running stalls, volunteering at stalls, greeting visitors, leading kids’ activities, cooking food, first aid, sharing music, keeping the space tidy, packing down, working behind the scenes and welcoming everyone with a friendly face. Without you, we would not have been able to run the event.
Thank you to those who prepared for months behind the scenes—dreaming, organising, and building toward this moment. Thank you to those who prayed over the market, asking God to bless every interaction and every person who would walk onto our grounds. Thank you to everyone for serving, and for offering your time and energy, even when life is hectic, overwhelming, and busy. Your generosity shines through and is greatly appreciated. Thank you to everyone for making people feel welcome, seen, valued, and cared for.
The Christmas Market didn’t just connect us to our community—it also connected us more deeply to one another. It reminded us of the strength we share when we serve side by side, the joy of working toward a common purpose, and the beauty of being the hands and feet of Jesus together.
What happened on Sunday reminded us that when we come together with Christ’s love at the centre, something powerful takes place. It strengthens us as a church family. It draws us closer, deepens our sense of shared mission, and reminds us of what God can do through simple acts of service offered with love. It sparks hope for what we can continue building together.
Let’s keep building, fostering, and nurturing this attitude of generosity, welcome, and service—in every interaction and opportunity God places before us. Let’s keep building our family and community beyond our walls, with shared hope, vision, and excitement.
As we enter this Sabbath, may we rest with grateful hearts and look forward with expectation, ready for the next opportunity to shine Christ’s light in our community.
Happy Sabbath, church family. God has been so good, and I’m thankful we get to walk this journey together as a family.
Blessings,
Malin Andersen.
