I hope this message finds you all well and that you've had a blessed week. Recently, I've been reading the story of Abraham and it has got me reflecting on many things, but none more than this one thing; God is always faithful and always keeps his promises.
What is most remarkable about Abraham's relationship with God is that God continued to reaffirm His promise to Abraham even though Abraham struggled with doubts and fears. And it is this promise that has an enormous significance to us today. God promised to bless all nations through Abraham's descendants, which ultimately manifests in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, who came from the line of Abraham. Thus, it is a promise that still applies to us because as Christians, we are children of Abraham, spiritual descendants of his faith and an inseparable part of the promises God made to him. One of the beautiful things about this promise is that it is for all people, regardless of their nationality or race. The gospel is the power of God unto salvation for all who believe, and through it, we find a way back to God. We can help fulfill this promise by sharing the gospel with people of all nations, both near and far, and inviting them to be a part of God's great plan for the world.
As we continue to seek God's face and remain faithful to His calling, it's important that we don't forget the promises He has made to us. Just like the believers of old, we have access to God's promises today - promises that truly bring hope and peace to our lives. We're living in a time where it's easy to be discouraged by the events taking place around us. But as believers in Christ, we can hold on to the promises of God and trust that He is in control. Here are just a few of God's promises that we can claim for ourselves:
God promises to provide for our needs.
God promises to never leave us or forsake us.
God promises to give us wisdom when we seek him.
God promises to always be with us
God promises to come back and create everything anew.
The ultimate example of God's faithfulness, of course, is the promise of salvation through Jesus Christ. God promised to send a Saviour to the world, one who would redeem us from our sins and give us eternal life. And God kept that promise by sending His only Son, Jesus, to die for us. Through Jesus' death and resurrection, we have access to the forgiveness of sins and the hope of eternal life. God always keeps His promises - and this should be a great comfort to us as we go through the ups and downs of life. We can trust that God is with us, working all things together for our good. When we face trials and difficulties, we can hold on to God's promises and know that He is faithful to bring us through them.
So, let us take heart in the fact that God always keeps His promises. And may we be inspired to remain faithful to Him in all circumstances.
