I hope you’ve had a blessed week. It is with great joy and gratitude that we write to you today to reminisce on a wonderful baptism Sabbath that we had recently. It was a time of celebration, where we witnessed individuals taking the ultimate step of publicly declaring their faith in Jesus Christ and beginning a new chapter in their lives. As we look back on that special day, we are reminded of the transforming power of God in our lives.
We are reminded of the importance of baptism, not only as a public declaration of our faith, but also as a symbol of the new life in Christ that we have received. It signifies that we have died to our old lives and have risen again, renewed and empowered by the Spirit of God. It is a powerful reminder of the eternal hope that we have in Christ, and a reminder that we are now a part of the family of God.
As we reflect on this significant day, we are also reminded of the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. The Holy Spirit is the one who empowers us to follow Christ and become more like Him. It is through the Holy Spirit that we are able to live lives filled with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. The Holy Spirit moulds us into the image of Christ and helps us to bear fruit that brings glory to God.
Let us, therefore, continue to let the Holy Spirit work in our lives, transforming us and moulding us into the image of Christ. Let us continue to allow God to strengthen us, encourage us, and use us for His purposes. Each one of us has a unique story of transformation, and our testimonies are powerful tools to spread the Gospel and to bring others to Christ. Our lives become a shining example of the hope and love that Christ offers to all who come to Him.
So let us continue to live transformed lives, letting the Holy Spirit guide us and transform us. May our testimonies inspire others to come to Christ and experience the abundant life He offers.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.
Just a reminder that our ADRA fundraiser event starts at 4.30pm this Sabbath. There will be food for sale afterwards. Looking forward to seeing you there.
Be blessed, David Peñate
