Serving Together at Mt Diamond, PNG

Church family, what a privilege it is to share with you the story of our recent Fly & Build mission to Mt Diamond in Papua New Guinea—part of our ongoing Adopt‑a‑Clinic outreach. Once again, God has shown His goodness as our team worked faithfully to strengthen a clinic that provides essential care to the school and the surrounding communities.

This year’s project was significant. The team completed major repairs to the wooden deck, replaced fascia boards, restored internal walls, upgraded taps and water‑damaged cabinets, and installed a new water tank, water pump, and plumbing. Even the concrete foundation received a much‑needed upgrade. By week’s end, every surface was beautifully painted, sealed, and refreshed—work done with skill, teamwork, and a spirit of joy that could only come from serving Christ.

The trip wasn’t without its challenges. A few team members battled stomach bugs but recovered quickly and returned to their duties with determination. More difficult was the early return of our team leader, Alan Cantrill, who injured his back after pushing himself beyond what was wise. His leadership and presence were greatly missed, and we continue to pray for his full recovery.

A personal highlight for me was the week of spiritual emphasis. Across twelve presentations, we opened Scripture together, shared testimonies, and witnessed God moving in quiet but powerful ways. The week culminated in a beautiful Sabbath baptism—a reminder that while buildings matter, transformed hearts are the true fruit of mission.

To our incredible team—Alan Aldridge, Alan Cantrill, Graeme, Steve, Trevor, Neville, Fraser, Glyn, Flynn, Jeremy—and our wonderful cooks Zilpah and Fami—thank you. Your dedication, resilience, humour, and servant‑heartedness made this mission possible. You represented our church family with grace and humility.

And to Park Ridge Church: a huge and heartfelt thank you. Your financial support, your prayers, and your encouragement carried this mission from beginning to end. Every repaired wall, every shared meal, every moment of ministry was made possible because you chose to invest in God’s work beyond our borders. You are partners in every blessing that took place at Mt Diamond.

We praise God for His protection, His provision, and the privilege of being co‑workers in His vineyard. May He continue to use our church to bring hope, healing, and the love of Jesus wherever He calls us next.
