Church family,
There are moments when God does not come to us with thunder, fire, or shaking mountains. Instead, He comes softly—quietly—gently announcing His presence to the heart that is willing to listen. In a world full of noise, pressure, and constant demands, God still chooses to meet us in the stillness.
Psalm 46:1 reminds us, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Not distant. Not delayed. Very present. Sometimes His presence is not loud, but it is always near.
Romans 12:12 calls us to “rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer.” These are the postures that help us hear God’s soft announcements. Hope tunes our hearts. Patience steadies our steps. Prayer opens our ears.
And then Romans 15:13 gives us the promise that makes all of this possible:
“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing…”
When God draws near, He brings joy. He brings peace. He brings hope that rises above circumstances.
This week, I want to encourage you to slow down just enough to notice the gentle ways God is speaking. He may whisper comfort in a moment of worry. He may nudge your heart during prayer. He may steady your spirit when fear tries to overwhelm. He may fill you with hope when you least expect it.
Softly, He announces His presence.
Not to overwhelm you, but to remind you that you are never alone.
May you hear His whisper.
May you feel His nearness.
May His joy and peace fill you as you trust in Him.
Grace and quiet strength, Greg
