Church family,
Every spiritual breakthrough begins with a simple habit. Not a grand gesture, not a dramatic moment—just a small, steady choice repeated until it reshapes the heart. Lately, I’ve sensed the Lord whispering to us, “I want you to learn a new habit.”
Psalm 63:2 gives us the first glimpse of it:
“I have seen You in the sanctuary and beheld Your power and Your glory.”
David learned the habit of seeking God early, intentionally, and expectantly. He didn’t wait for perfect conditions. He didn’t wait to feel spiritual. He sought God because he knew that where God is, strength is found.
Then Psalm 139 reminds us of the truth that makes this habit possible:
Where can I go from Your Spirit? … Even there Your hand will guide me.
You don’t have to chase God down. You simply have to turn your attention toward the One who is already with you.
Here’s the new habit God invites you to learn:
Pause throughout your day and acknowledge His presence.
Just a breath.
Just a moment.
Just a whispered, “Lord, I’m here—and I know You’re here too.”
This habit will change you.
It will steady your emotions.
It will soften your reactions.
It will strengthen your faith.
It will remind you that you are never walking alone.
So this week, practice the habit of holy awareness. Look for God in the ordinary. Expect Him in the unexpected. Let His presence become the rhythm that carries you.
He is with you—always.
And learning to notice Him might just become the most life‑giving habit you ever form.
